Happy day today!! Arly finally got the results of the paternity test ...and of course Mark is the father..DUH! The only one who did not know that was Mark himself!
But then again, he knew...of course he knew...and that's why it has taken nearly a year to get the paternity test completed.
Arly and Mark dated for more than 2 years, and Arly was head over heels in love with him. So of course, when she got pregnant it would be Mark's....it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out!
But yes, the deadbeat knew! He knew!! He just didn't want to pay child support, so he avoided the situation as long as he possibly could, and instead of maning up, he spread Arly's name around town as a cheater, just to cover up the truth.
I feel badly for poor Arly because she did nothing to deserve the treatment she received from him - except love him! And the scars of this relationship has been weighing heavily on her. Hopefully..in time..she will be ready to open her heart and learn to trust someone again.
We could have just left him alone, and at first we were going to do exactly that..but at the end of the day the only one to benefit from that would be Mark!
Mr Mark needs to take on his share of the financial responsibility. He doesn't need to be in Taliyah's life, and has obviously made the choice not to be. But he does need to provide for a child he helped to create. So Arly got herself a lawyer...and here we are.
They say " the truth will set you free" but sometimes (if you are Mark) the truth will simply show you as the stupid asshole you are.
